Istat reviews the list of goods and services representative of Italian household consumption over the past calendar year. The basket update takes much into account new developments that have emerged in household spending habits and is enriched with additional items now attributable to established consumption. Among the “representative positions” entering the 2015 basket are shared transportation, car and bike sharing .
Compared to the 2014 basket, we can see how the weight of services over goods has increased and how the sharing economy is making a major contribution to a potential and hoped-for recovery of our economy.
