The Municipality of Cecina is an important city located in the province of Livorno, Italy. It is known for its coastal location and its focus on environmental sustainability and urban mobility. With the CICLOCÈ bike sharing system and youMove®, the City is able to offer an advanced, efficient and interconnected urban mobility service.

The goal
In 2019, the goal of the City of Cecina was to promote a sustainable transportation system by providing citizens with alternative mobility in the city. The introduction of the bike-sharing system developed by tmr was a key solution to achieve this goal by providing citizens with eco-friendly means, such as electric bikes.

This innovative software enables the municipality to efficiently manage the shared bicycle fleet, offering citizens a high-quality service. YouMove® monitoring and control systems enable the municipality to track the location of bicycles in real time, ensuring optimal resource management and user safety.
Over the years, the City of Cecina has developed a fruitful partnership with tmr, introducing the bike sharing system in the city. Currently, the network includes two stations equipped with pedal-assisted bicycles. Each station, one with 14 and the other with 18 e-bikes, serves as a charging point and is specially designed to ensure safe locking and automated release of e-bikes. Once rented, bicycles can be used for commuting throughout the city and returned at any station on the network. YouMove® bike share stations feature a modular design, allowing easy adaptability to different urban settings and the possibility of expansion according to capacity needs. Thefree youMove® app can be found in digital stores-Apple Store and Google Play Store-and allows users to make maximum use of the bike sharing service.
