Capo d’Orlando, a wonderful town located on the northern coast of Sicily, is renowned for its enchanting beaches, crystal clear sea and cultural heritage. Aware of the importance of preserving the environment and promoting sustainable tourism, Capo d’Orlando has decided to embark on a path toward greener mobility, providing opportunities for citizens and tourists to enjoy the city.

The goal
In 2013, the goal with the launch of the bike share service in Capo d’Orlando was to promote sustainable mobility and improve the quality of life for citizens and visitors by connecting different spaces in the city.
There was a desire to offer anenvironmentally friendly transportation alternative that would reduce private vehicle use and harmful emissions. In addition, the introduction of the bike share service was intended to create a more livable city by reducing traffic congestion and improving the quality of the air and urban environment. The ultimate goal was to make Capo d’Orlando an increasingly sustainable tourist destination where visitors could enjoy the natural and cultural beauty in a responsible way.

The tmr solution
Capo d’Orlando has chosen to partner with tmr and Indodrive to implement a bike sharing system called Capo Bike. This initiative aims to provide citizens and visitors with a sustainable transportation option and promote anactive, eco-friendlylifestyle.
With two strategically located stations, Capo d’Orlando offers a fleet with a total of twenty bicycles. Through thefree youMove® app, available in the Apple Store and Google Play Store, users can easily check the availability of vehicles at stations, book them, and use them for travel around the city conveniently and intuitively.
